A way in

Read the source’s short instructions. Fix your gaze on the flashing center without forcing it. Try a short interval, then look freely again. The page provides a Stop control.

Free browser demonstration with no camera needed. It depends on sight and has no nonvisual equivalent. Moving patterns and a blinking fixation point may be uncomfortable; use the Stop control or leave the page whenever you like.

Why we chose it

Small targets sit inside a moving pattern while you look at a central point. The task is simple enough that the difference between what is on the screen and what you notice can become unusually clear. Try it once before consulting the explanation. The result can vary between people and between attempts; neither outcome is a test of how well you see.

What it may shift The gap between what is present and what stays noticed.

Did any target disappear from awareness while remaining on the screen? Compare what happened when you kept your gaze still with what happened when you moved your eyes.
