    Birds use Earth's magnetic field, but the mechanism and experience remain partly hidden. Start with a signal that is real, useful, and absent from ordinary human awareness.

    Plants get louder when they are thirsty

    Stressed plants can emit airborne ultrasonic sounds. The greenhouse seemed silent because human hearing was the wrong instrument.

    Instruments do not reveal reality unchanged

    Reflection

    Ultrasound shifted into audible frequencies, infrared rendered as color, and magnetic fields drawn as lines are translations. Every tool preserves some structure and discards the rest.

    A wrist can carry sound

    Reflection

    Haptic devices can turn selected sound or directional information into vibration. Prosthetic systems can return pressure, position, or other signals through neural or tactile pathways. Information can enter through a channel evolution did not assign to it.
